Being born and raised in Vancouver, I have developed an addiction to eating out, because it gives me an opportunity to try new delectable cuisines from exotic parts of the world. It’s one of the things I love about food in general. It’s like there’s nothing so joyous, so timely and so effective in bringing a diverse group of people to a resounding harmony like an incredibly good plate of food.
That said, it brings me equivocal joy to tell all you food-loving Vancouverites and visitors to Vancouver about Candlelight Conservation Dinner. Sponsored by Tourism Vancouver and BC Hydro Power Smart, over 30 of Vancouver’s restaurants will be participating for one day in a power-save initiative, dimming their lights and offering us foodies a delicious opportunity to dine with friends and family…at an affordable price AND raise awareness about being energy conscious.
Mark the date Wednesday, October 28, 2009 and make your reservations sooner rather than later to take advantage of some hot meal deals like 2 for 1 Entrees and Complimentary Appetizer/Dessert!
Here are examples of some of the participating restaurants:
Le Gavroche Restaurant
Northlands Bar and Grill
nu restaurant + lounge
Nyala African Cuisine
Trattoria Italian Kitchen
