Hip Hop competitor, Teddy Kim, is competing at Last One Stands this Saturday in what is one of the biggest street dance festivals in North America. Last One Stands is the product of the ambitious vision of Vancouver’s premier street dancers, Locking Kuan and Abe Chen, and has succeeded in making Vancouver one of the street dance capitals of the wold. It hosts the highest caliber of talent in a theatre setting that’s comfortable for spectators and performers.
The following continues from Vicky Chow’s interview with Teddy, who shared his insights on his preparations for competing at Last One Stands. It begins with asking Teddy about his “knock-out factor”:
Vicky: Have you ever knocked someone out?
Teddy: I remember a battle (2010), it was the Vancouver Battle Zone Vol.1–where I ended up competing with my own crew member, Yoshi, at the final. And i won! Hahahaha. Yoshi, it’s your turn next time!
We were curious to know what Teddy takes around with him days before a big competition. Thanks, Teddy, for helping us out!
Here’s what we found in Teddy’s backpack:
- Business cardholder
- Body spray
- Spare underwear
- Notebook and pen
- Athletic knee supports
All to say, this is serious stuff! Break a leg, Teddy!
