This time around, J. J. Adams has cast notable non-white actors and actresses for the Star Wars 7 film, including John Boyega, Lupita Nyong’o, and Oscar Isaac. This is a noteworthy achievement for the promotion of colour blind casting auditions. Additionally, it is a step in the right direction towards the goal of making racially diverse casts the norm and not the anomaly in Hollywood. However, with change, always comes some level of resistance. For Star Wars 7, it came in the form of a trending hashtag on Twitter.

This was the first year I made up my mind to vote and I mean I really made up my mind. I was determined to make an informed political choice on October 19. From Day 1, when the election campaigning officially began, to Day 78, I was following each major political party’s progress like a bloodhound.

Review of Avengers: Age of Ultron (Or As I Would Like To Call The Movie, Avengers: Age of Frustration)

The Avengers did quite well for themselves their opening weekend at the box office. The movie grossed $187.6 million which makes it the second highest grossing blockbuster film domestically of all time. The movie definitely had all the right ingredients: big name actors, a large budget, and a wide fan base after the first movie. Even so, the movie miserably failed at creating an entertaining and sensible plot. Disclaimer: Spoilers ahead!
